4/18 - Head Chef, Gregory Brown, participated in the100 Black Women's "Distinctive Men Who Cook" event! He made a great impression with his healthy vegan versions of candied yams, smoked collard greens, soy BBQ rib tips, and soy curry chicken! Women love men who cook!

 

4/17 & 4/24 - THE LAND of KUSH donated vegan breakfast dishes (tofu scramble, multigrain pancakes, home fries, and veggie sausage) to WEAA 88.9 Radio's membership drive.  Support the Voice of the Community!

 

4/9 - THE LAND of KUSH donated lunch to the first-ever Mid-Atlantic Regional Animal Law Symposium, held at the University of Baltimore School of Law.  Topics addressed were related to the legal condition and welfare of animals in the region. Speakers included COK's General Counsel Cheryl Leahy, Maryland State Senator Jamie Raskin, and Washington, D.C.'s Former Assistant Attorney General Wendy Weinberg.

October

10/17 - On Saturday, 10/18 and Sunday, 10/24, The Land of Kush, in support of the WEAA 88.9FM Radio 2009 Fall Membership Drive, contributed breakfast and dinner to staff and volunteers. WEAA is a non-profit, National Public Radio Station that serves the Baltimore/Washington Metropolitan area; licensed and owned by Morgan State University.  Through its programs stimulates positive interaction between Morgan State University and the community at large. The mission of WEAA 88.9FM Radio is to educate and enlighten Baltimore and beyond by offering programming that is culturally diverse and artistic in nature.

 

10/12 - On Friday, 10/9, The Land of Kush sponsored the Community Law Center  (CLC) "Welcome to Legal Briefs" fundraiser and pro bono case auction by donating food to this event. The CLC provides legal services and technical assistance to grassroots organizations and nonprofits throughout Maryland to improve the quality of life and economic viability of communities.

9/26 - This Sunday, 9/27 from 3p-7p, The Land of Kush will be catering at the monthly Sisters4Sisters Networking, Inc. meeting located at Natural Revolution Hair Salon, 2446 N. Charles Street, Baltimore, MD 21218.

 

9/5 - This Saturday, 9/19, from 8a-12p, The Land of Kush is collaborating with The Dept of Transportation to create a Farmer's Market at the West Baltimore MARC Station, 401 Smallwood Street!  Early birds, get some good "Veggie Soul Food" for your Mind, Body, & Spirit!!!

8/18 - On Saturday, 8/29 from 12p-3p, The Land of Kush will be vending at the Bel"Hair"-Edison Back to School Hair Show hosted by Belair-Edison Neighborhoods, Inc. 7/27 - On Friday, 7/31 from 8p-12a, The Land of Kush will be vending at the CONSCIOUS STYLES (Hip Hop/Poetry) event at Sankofa Center - 2901 Druid Park Drive, Baltimore, MD.  Featured Artist: Wise Intelligent of Poor Righteous Teachers

 

7/22 - The Land of Kush will be vending at URBAN TOUCH Art Mart @ Lake Montebello in Baltimore on Sunday, July 26, 2009 11a-4p.  Come on down and appreciate good art and healthy, delicious food. We will be the only food vendor at this event!  Hope to see you there!

 

7/17 - This weekend, The Land of Kush will be vending in the Green section at Artscape (http://www.artscape.org) in Baltimore!  For all you fast food enthusiasts, come visit us and try our new menu items  - LOK Veggie Wrap, Sweet Potato Fries, Veggie Chicken Kabobs! 5/3- On Sunday, 5/3, The Land of Kush showcased their hottest vegetarian meals at the Gourmet Men of Distinction - Men Who Cook event sponsored by The Baltimore Metropolitan Chapter of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women held at Martin's West in Baltimore.

4/19- The Land of Kush will be at Bowie State University on Sunday, 4/26 for Sister4Sisters Network, Inc. monthly networking event. Everyone is invited.  This is a free event.
