2009 - FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
10/17 - On Saturday, 10/18 and Sunday, 10/24, The Land of Kush, in support of the WEAA 88.9FM Radio 2009 Fall Membership Drive, contributed breakfast and dinner to staff and volunteers. WEAA is a non-profit, National Public Radio Station that serves the Baltimore/Washington Metropolitan area; licensed and owned by Morgan State University. Through its programs stimulates positive interaction between Morgan State University and the community at large. The mission of WEAA 88.9FM Radio is to educate and enlighten Baltimore and beyond by offering programming that is culturally diverse and artistic in nature.
10/12 - On Friday, 10/9, The Land of Kush sponsored the Community Law Center (CLC) "Welcome to Legal Briefs" fundraiser and pro bono case auction by donating food to this event. The CLC provides legal services and technical assistance to grassroots organizations and nonprofits throughout Maryland to improve the quality of life and economic viability of communications.
